JQM LITERARY CHAT WELCOMES Robert Eggleton
TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF:
I’m a retired children’s psychotherapist with over forty years in the field of child advocacy. Rarity from the Hollow is my debut novel, following short stories in magazines.
WHAT INFLUENCED YOU TO WRITE YOUR GENRE(S)?
Science fiction was the result of process by elimination. Literary drama would have been too depressing to meet my personal goals of facilitating an understanding of child abuse and its dynamics from alternative perspectives. Fantasy was too wild for the message to avoid reality. Romance never really solves much. While nothing is more horrific than child abuse, I wanted a story that did much more than scare readers. Science fiction gave me the flexibility of genre bending.
