My Thoughts on The Wreck and Rise of Whitson Mariner by SD Smith
I am not ashamed to say it, after a bumpy start with the Green Ember series by SD Smith, by the time I finished book 4, I was both a fan of the series and a fan of Smith.
So when my kids told me about Smith’s short story The Wreck and Rise of Whitson Mariner, I jumped to find it.
It was every bit as delightful as I expected. And the biggest thing I learned from it was how to use a prequel short story to enhance a series, something that I attempted to do with my Welcome to the Realm of Rai and Origin of an Oracle tales.
